ScrapHappy Saturday - Last Light Blue Day

I'm really enjoying light blue.  It is going to be a shame to put it away to move on to the next color.  That is all part of the fun though, there are plenty of other colors waiting to come out and play.  I worked this week on a few more mini log cabin blocks.  Each one will be 2.5 inches in the finished quilt, so it is going to take quite a while to get enough.
The last time I was playing with layout ideas I think I settled on a streak of lightning setting.  Its going to take quite a while to get enough for a nice big quilt though, so I'll just keep adding to the stack for now.
Misterlinky is below.  I look forward to seeing what everyone else has been working on this week.

I still haven't even started anything for 2018! I finished up my 2016 RSC project (linked) and now I need to pick out a project for 2018.

That will take a lot of blocks! It's going to be a wonderful way to use up little scraps. I don't think I could work that small! Happy stitching this weekend.

I didn't realize they were that tiny! Wow. Might link up later today... if I can find some blue progress.

I love those tiny log cabins! Cute, and colorful, even if it takes time, it will be a beautiful quilt at the end! I'm sad too that the light blue scraps month is over, but I can't wait to see what color will be next!!

It's all your fault. My blue scraps wouldn't stop nagging and now, via blog post(s), you can see what happened! (But truly I'm having a blast and this week at work was a hard one, so having this to look forward to was a blessing!)

My favourite log cabin quilt is one that I had the blocks form a spiral from the centre of the quilt. I think that is the one quilt that I regret giving away!

I'm in! I will follow along with your color selections. Hopefully there will be a quilt at the end. Log cabins are my favorite....but yours are teeny tine! Awesome though!

Wow! I didn't realize those were quite so tiny. That's going to be such an amazing quilt! I have nothing quite so tiny on the make this year.

Fun blocks! This is the way I enjoy making a quilt... just making blocks over time and seeing how it develops!

Wow, I can’t even imagine how many teensy tiny pieces it’s going to take to do that quilt, but it will be amazing when it’s done! This will be a fun one to watch... over the years! :-)

Those are super small-- and very pretty! Takes a long time to use up a lot of scraps with tiny blocks, but those little bits are always so charming.

No blue sewing this week. I was home with influenza or a nasty cold - doesn't really matter which one I guess. And today I worked on a UFO project with pinks and purples. But I did get a lot of blue done early in the month. Can't wait to see what color we get to play with next.

Your baby log cabins are tempting but tiny patchwork requires precision and sewing skills. So I will admire from afar.

I love log cabin quilts. Which every way to plan your colours it will be a great quilt. Lightening is a good setting.

Your Dear Jane blocks are awesome.

I squeaked in with my blue projects this week. Each year, I think my scrap pile will go down, but it never does. It's like trying to catch water in a sieve.

Now that's a scrap challenge. You put together the most amazing quilts.
