ScrapHappy Finishing Fiesta

It's been so much fun seeing all the finished quilts start to pop out.  Finally, I'm happy to post one of my own.  This was part of the hurricane quilting frenzy, but I didn't finish sewing the binding until Thanksgiving.  It was too cold to go out this morning to get a photo, so Kurt was kind enough to stand in front of the tree to hold it for me.
Is any last minute finishing happening at your house, or is it all about holiday craziness?  Semester exams start for us on Monday, so the end is in sight.  Just a few hundred multiple choice questions between me and Christmas break.

That's a beautiful quilt, Angela! I'm glad you a little stitching time this week. I hope grading doesn't take up too much of your holiday time!

A fabulous finish! I love this RSC quilt!
Good luck with your grading ... if I lived closer I would definitely come over and help you mark exams. I know lots of teachers dislike it, but it was one of my favourite tasks when I was teaching.

Earlier in the year I had a destination for my RSC quilt so I made all the blocks and finished the quilt. (In the end I made something different for the occasion, so I have an un-donated but (yay!) finished quilt for the next opportunity.) You can see it here: https://withstringsattached.blogspot.com/2017/04/welcome-to-april-rabbits-and-fish-stash.html

I find new ideas for RSC blocks all the time but I have decided on the ideal block for 2018!

Such a nice finish. Love the gray and the little black squares that add to it. My finishing got sidetracked by making quilted gifts.

Congratulations on your finish and good luck with the grading (ugh!). I love this quilt and might steal the idea for next year, too. If I another chance, Merry Christmas to you and yours!

What a lovely RSC finish! Congrats! But I laugh at what your idea of cold might be there in Florida. We’re joking about our heat wave here in the Salt Lake Valley because it got up into the forties yesterday!

That quilt is another beautiful rainbow. I didn't keep up with colors at all this year. But I did finish quite a few UFOs so it's all good.

The Christmas sewing was done back in early November, and it's a good thing because there sure hasn't been much opportunity to sew in the last month. Can't wait until I have a few whole days off and I know where I plan to be.

Such a pretty quilt--must keep this idea in mind for charity quilts. It WAS 'cold' in the mornings in Florida this past week drat, because I zipped down for 6 days...around 45 in North Port, but now I'm back home in southern Ontario, 38 this morning felt quite pleasant, LOL!!

Gorgeous quilt! I finished my blocks up tonight! It was great laying them all out and now my crumb bins are looking good! I have some ideas in the works for next year!

It's been all about the holidays for weeks, now. I'm glad Christmas is over so I can get back into my sewing room. I really like that quilt. You could have a lot of options with that pattern.
