ScrapHappy Saturday Orange Week 3

Beach re-nourishment has moved down to our little section of the beach.  Many bright lights and big trucks now start moving very early in the morning.  Big trucks make lots of beeping noises every time they back up.  Apparently they back up a lot during their time dumping sand on the beach.  Hopefully they will be done in about three weeks and all the sand that disappeared during the last hurricane will be restored.
Orange month is coming along nicely.  Here are orange blossom blocks added to the collection.  Honestly, I've been spending more time working on teal snail's trail blocks.  No photo of those today though.  I'll be back at it soon, but first we have to go take Sydney's car into the shop to have an oil leak looked at.  She has to park in the garage now that the park is closed.

Your orange-ness is looking good! Beautiful strings! Hate the sound of the beeping back-up noise. Totally understand that it's necessary but UGH!

The constant beeping doesn't sound like much fun - hope they're finished soon! Glad you're making progress on your snail's trail quilt. I'm looking forward to seeing that!

Your orange collection looks fantastic on the design wall!
You named one of my all time modern day infuriations (I made up that word!)... beeping vehicles that make a noise so loud that can be heard miles away, even when you're inside a building. The noise pollution is just unacceptable and it's shocking to me even time I hear it that this decibel of sound is permitted! Wonderful that the beach is being restored, but you shouldn't have to endure the sound pollution while it's being fixed. Rant over LOL!

What a wonderful view of your design wall, Angela! All that orange-y goodness makes me wish that was going to be my main focus for the day (instead of the gift that needs to be given TOMORROW!!)

Well I thought I was done with orange for the month, but yours are inspiring me to make some more blocks!
We've had pipeline construction near our rural home for over a year now. We hear them sawing and cracking of trees, bulldozing, and beeping almost daily. Hope yours doesn't last that long!

Seeing what others are sewing makes me jealous. No sewing due to being away for a week of training for work. But I can look forward to playing with fabric when I get home tomorrow.

Lets hope we are hurricane free this year so the sand stays put. I hope to sew some orange later today..... the week got away from me.

I know about that 'beeping' it has kept me hearing it for the 5 months so far, that I have lived in this Senior apt --they are building a new apartment building next door--it's like 7 stories with shops under it--so 5-6 days a week I hear the beep beep-- luckily it is not too loud--don't think it is as loud as the trucks that back up--!!!
Just think about the nice restored beach that you will have when it is finished!!
luv, di

Thanks for the challenge! It turned out to be a very good thing for me and my sewing room. (See my post.) The reorganization of my stash and scraps has made it so much more functional. It took a lot of time and effort but was very much worth it.

At least you aren't home all day and have to listen to all the beeping all day long. Hope you get in some good stitching time since walking on the beach is restricted for a bit.

Sorry, I’m having trouble uploading my photograph to your blog. I am registered with Mr Linky but I can’t get the photograph recognised!

Hi Angela,
I am so enjoying the RSC. I got a late start and missed the green month but am going crazy with the orange! I am having trouble posting a link to the party and am not sure what I am doing wrong. When I hit Next, it takes me to the Thumbnail part and I pick a picture and click Done and it keeps just going back to the page where I enter my name. Can you let me know what I need to do?

Did you realize there's a 12 word sentence you can say to your partner... that will induce intense emotions of love and instinctual appeal to you deep inside his chest?

That's because deep inside these 12 words is a "secret signal" that fuels a man's impulse to love, treasure and care for you with his entire heart...

12 Words Will Fuel A Man's Desire Instinct

This impulse is so hardwired into a man's genetics that it will make him try harder than before to do his best at looking after your relationship.

Matter-of-fact, triggering this powerful impulse is so essential to getting the best possible relationship with your man that the moment you send your man one of the "Secret Signals"...

...You'll immediately find him open his heart and mind for you in a way he's never experienced before and he will perceive you as the only woman in the world who has ever truly appealed to him.
