ScrapHappy Saturday - Last Yellow Saturday

I have not made much progress on the yellow so far, but we will see what today shall bring. I have been in a hand quilting and sewing mode lately. The basket quilt is officially done and washed. I love the way that quilts look 100 years old as soon as they come out of the dryer. I used a Baptist Fan template to hand quilt this one and it went SO fast. I love the way that it looks.

Next up are the hexie diamonds, they are just getting straight lines with 12 wt thread to match each color. It looks like teal is up next. I had to hunt and hunt for teal thread, but I finally found some.

The basket quilt is lovely and the baptist fan quilting is the perfect choice for this one.

So when you say 'teal' ... is that the color for April or is it the row to be quilted on your hexi quilt?

Your quilting looks lovely! I love the texture it adds to a quilt. I'm slowly making my way through Masala Box - there will be a finish one of these days. Have a wonderful weekend, Angela!

Hopefully you can make a slight indentation in your yellow scrap bin this weekend.

Such nice progress on your quilts! I love the crinkles quilts have after they're washed. Good luck on the thread colors.

Both your projects are looking gorgeous. Now, you are quilting with teal. Is that just your quilting colour, or is that April’s RSC colour?

Congratulations on your Basket quilt finish, Angela! Teal for April? That's one of my favorites so I'm excited to see what treasures the scrap basket holds.

Love your basket quilt and the quilting sure made it special. How did you like using 12 wt thread for that? Seems to me that was an experiment for you. Just wondering your thoughts bc I'm thinking about using the same on a quilt.

How I admire those who can hand quilt! Your basket quilt is so beautiful and hand quilting gives it a totally different texture!
Interesting, I have been in a slow stitching mode lately as well!
Your hex diamonds are so beautiful! That will also be a lovely finish.
