I am in North Carolina for a few days. Kurt was planning to come down for the weekend to visit his dad, but he isn't doing as well as we had hoped and so I decided to come and support Kurt. We are headed over the hospital now that visiting hours are open again. I actually did quite a bit of string block sewing this week, but didn't take a photo as we dashed out the door. The week was more projects at the cabin, but nothing photo worthy. I had the good sense to grab my hexie bag as we left and I got a few of those done on the drive. I am sure there will be time for few more of those today. How is your June going? It is the last pastel Saturday. I know that it has been a bit of a strange month without a proper color, but it has been fun to see what people do with catch up and overflow. I think that it helps to round things out and take stock in the middle of the year. July will be aqua, so it is a bit more of a proper color. I feel that too many shades live somewhere between blue and green and love having a chance to explore those shades each year. I have a separate bin for these. If yours are not segregated, try looking for anything that isn't quite blue or green and you will be on the right track.

Aqua should be fun this month. My aqua scraps are already separated from the regular blue so I'll be able to dive right in. Hope your FIL has some improvement this week.
I'm sorry to hear about Kurt's dad, and hope you see some improvement while you're there. You were so smart to bring your hexie bag! I'm ready to play with aqua - thanks for always hosting this fun group, Angela!
I failed at the pastel part of the challenge but did meet making of a couple blocks. Scraps were used so all in all it was a GREAT month! I hope you get lots of hexies sewn while you are away.
Aqua is such a good color. Before the RSC I didn't use it much, so thank you for making it one of our yearly colors. BTW, I sort my aqua into two piles, bluish and greenish.
Hope Kurt's dad is going better. Enjoy what ever stitching you find time to work on.
Sending good thoughts to you and Kurt during this time. I love that you brought your hexie bag along — small creative moments can be such a comfort. Wishing for smoother days ahead and looking forward to seeing all the beautiful aqua shades in July
