Orange You Glad It's Saturday?

I was going to spend some time today on prep work for Dear Jane.  While I was at it, a few super easy blocks found their way to being done.  It would have been more, but Ryan's football team won their first game this morning and got to play another.  We're all a little bit sunburned, but it was a fun morning.
We are watching a movie as a family this evening, so I think I'll get that applique triangle on the left ready to go in case there is time for some handwork this week.  Having something ready to go is the key for me being able to get anything accomplished during the week.  There didn't seem to be a lot of orange applique, but that could be because I crossed a lot of handwork off the list early on in this process.

Aha! So ORANGE is the color for March? Or are you teasing us with a "red" herring? LOL!!!

With applique, having something ready to stitch down is key for me too. Once I get that done, the block gets completed pretty quickly. It's making myself get it ready that takes so long. I've learned to be more disciplined about getting them ready - and it's paying off. I can't believe how quickly my Blue Collection has progressed.

Hope you get to do some stitching tonight during the movie :*) Have a great week!!!

I can get applique or hand piecing done before the game or after sometimes, but never during.:) Congrats on your progress!

I can't wait to see what your dear jane is going to look like with all these wonderful colors. I agree being prepared and putting in a few stitches when we have a moment helps to get things done.

Fabulous blocks! I sure wouldn't mind orange being the colour for March. One of my favourite colours!

Sounds like you had a pretty busy weekend. Congrats on the football win, it's fun for the kids when they get to play again, not so much for the parents who have to sit in stands. Those things are not exactly comfort city.
