Last Light Blue Day

Today is the last official "light blue" scraphappy Saturday.  I know that a lot of us are already starting to finish things off though!  Yeah!  Feel free to post your last bits of blue, or the beginnings of the finishings.  There will not be a new color for December, so if you need a 12th color for the last block of your quilt, feel free to fill in with whatever you have the most of.  I've seen some lovely golds, lime greens, burgundies...... There are so many shades we have not had time to delve into this year.  We also didn't have a light neutral month this year, so that is always an option for people looking for a broader range of colors.
Because we are getting ready to start the LAST month of the year, I am also holding a drawing for the final RSC14 fabric giveaway of beautiful hand dyed fabric by Vicki Welsh.   To enter the drawing, leave a comment please with the name of one quilt block you would most like to see incorporated into next year's rainbow scrap challenge project.

I've already received the fabric for RSC15 and I am SO EXCITED to get started on the new challenge quilt!  Vicki will be posting more details about the fabric in her December newsletter for those thinking about joining in, and I'll try post some of the details and plans at about the same time.   I can't reveal everything of course, what fun would that be?  You are also welcome (of course) to use your own fabrics (hopefully scraps), but Vicki is going to have special packages available for those who are interested.
Don't forget to leave a comment to enter the drawing.  I'll check in as soon as I'm back from my turkey travels.  As I'm scheduling this to post ahead, I should be back pretty soon to see what lovely projects are starting to come together.  I'll draw for the fabric winner before next Saturdays post.

Just a quick thank you Angela for hosting this challenge. It has been great fun and I'm looking for ward to playing with more colour next year.
No idea which block to suggest for you for next year. I've watched your sampler grow through out the year and been full of admiration for the dedicated effort. Awesome! Can't imagine how you did it with work and kids etc.

Hope you had a joyful Thanksgiving. I'm looking forward to next year's challenge and am looking for what block I want to use for my scrappy challenge.

I'm not sure what block to include in next year's challenge. You presented so many great blocks this year.

I'd like to make a Swoon block, but not finishing at 6"! Further I've no idea what to suggest, except more stars please!
I've done very little sewing at all this week so I don't have anything to link up! I have cut sashings for the rainbow quilt and started attaching them, even though I still have to make two more pink blocks to complete my layout. I need some pink inspiration.

A big Thank you for hosting the RSC Challenge the last few years and for all your hard work on the RSC Sampler this year. I look forward to laying mine out next week and starting to get it into a top. How about the fan block? I'm planning lots of appliqué for next year =).

Thank you for taking the time to host the challenge each year - you are the best!

I hope to be able to sew up some scrap blocks today and post them before I go to a Christmas party today. I know...they have already started!!

I do love stars (and Carrie Nation blocks!). I'm really happy with the selection you discovered this year, so I trust your best judgement!

thanks so much for this year's RSC challenge, and the promise of 2015. this was my first year, and I've LOVED it! thanks, thanks, thanks! I'm leaving a comment- not sure if i'll be eligible to win, but I'd love to! I won a THRIVE pack from Vicki with Judy's mystery (Tell It To The Stars) and made a Sudoku baby quilt. I'd love to win some more fabric, though!

My scraps are taking over the basement, and I plan to join in with your project in 2015! Love seeing everyone's results.

I can't believe it's the last month of the year... so many scrappy projects to finish up :) I'm working on getting all the projects from this year organized to set some goals for my December posts.
I love star blocks, and my fave is the sawtooth.

I can't believe another year of RSC is coming to a close. Thanks for hosting the fun.

I didn't follow along with the sampler but used scraps in my own projects. I seem to be attracted to either extremely large blocks or very small blocks lately...and circles or curves...just something a little more challenging.

I am thankful to Angela for another great scrappy challenge. It's been fun and although I've used up so many scraps they just seem to multiply so am in for next year's surprise. You could say I'm star struck. I love star blocks no matter the size. They just twinkle and sparkle across the quilt... so whether it's a swoon type block or friendship star, boxy star, Lemoyne star or saw tooth star doesn't really matter to me.

I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving. Thank you for hosting the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, Angela. I am now an official SCRAP quilter. LOVE my scrap quilts with all the colors of the rainbow. Sorry I haven't been linking up, computer issues, Christmas sewing, RSC end of year catch up. Still quilting my RSC sampler. That's a wonderful big quilt. Hope to have it ready for next week's linkup.
I'm already thinking of next year. I like blocks using strings, strips and squares of all sizes.
And a BIG THANKS to Vickie, too. Her fabrics are beautiful.

Thank you for sponsoring this challenge, Angela. It really has radically changed my approach to patchwork--making it a lot more fun. My suggestion for a block is more of a caution from this year's challenge: I recommend blocks that don't bite, peck or scratch.

Firstly, (if that's a word) I'd like to thank Angela and Vicki for continuing this program. It is the best, the easiest for me to continue and not get bored. Now, a block I would love to see in next years challenge would be ....a scrappy block that creates a frame to showcase something, little applique or stitchery or a fussy cut fabric.

I didn't star up blogging again until later in the year. However any block with stars I love. So looking forward to next years challenge.

I plan on making butterfly blocks. Thanks for hosting the rainbow challenge. I haven't done very well this year. So next year I will work harder at making blocks from my scraps.

A big thank you for Rainbow Scrap Challenge 2014, this year has just flown by but that's usually the case when you're having fun! Looking forward to seeing what Vicki has in store and will certainly be joining in for 2015.

I'm going to say that since I am super busy with gifts this month and you have no specific color for this month, and since I've been using the colors to work on hexagons, that I'm not going to plan to work on them this month.
How's that for a big run on sentence? LOL

I've had such fun participating in this, my first RSC, that I can't wait for RSC15 :) You are so inspirational!
