With the cold and snow that seems to be the norm in the northern US these days, I thought we could all use a bit of sunshine. Yellow can be one of those colors that overwhelms on its own, but combined with other colors, it adds such a great sparkle and lightness. So go dig out your yellow scraps and get ready for some sunshine!
I was pleased to find my pink bin of scraps nicely organized and fairly wrinkle free. They were even sorted into squares and strips and crumbs, all ready to be put to use.
I think that framed nine patches are first on my list this month. I stuck some two inch squares into the leaders and enders stack toward the end of the month and a few have already made their way out.
Next up will be some churn dashes to alternate with these yellow baby nine patches.

I like those framed 9 patches. Looking forward to seeing how those come out.
Your yellows just sing against the whites. Nice selection of yellows. hugs, Julierose
Like the framed nine patches a lot!!
Perfect color for this month - THANKS!
I'm loving your yellows with the whites too.
Oh, so pretty! I was so surprised how little yellow I own in my stash!!! These pictures inspire me!
I agree that the framed nine patches make a nice, simple statement to showcase those yellows. A great leader ender project. I really need to set myself up with one. I accomplish so much when I do, and it's been awhile. Thanks for the nudge.
Wish I found my scraps like that! I'm loving the look of that churn dash/9P.
Your yellow blocks are going to make one very pretty quilt.
So nice when you pull out scraps and they are ready to go! I need to work on leaving my scraps so they are that way for next year. Enjoy playing with sunny yellow.
I love the nine patches with the churn dash blocks! May have to steal that idea. :- )
I'm also inspired to maybe work on a different type of block in the color of the month each week. Good plan!
Framed 9 patches - neat idea!

Love the addition of the churn dashes. Oops, my link went to an old post.
Yellow was a great color choice for this month--we all need a shot of sunshine!
