ScrapHappy Saturday

I have officially switched from inlinkz, back to misterlinky. Having a credit card number stolen apparently leads to unintended consequences.
We are enjoying the Thanksgiving holiday with two kids home for college. Anna even brought two of her friends with her. It is so nice to be able to see them again, even though winter break is really just around the corner.

I finished up 5 new place-mats, though Anna did not think they fit the aesthetic of a Thanksgiving table.  They are in beach colors though, which is the effect that I was going for.
I got out to walk the dog this morning just in time for the sunrise.  Though Anna and her friends are sleeping in my sewing room, I did pull out some hand work to keep me busy while they are here.  I think that we are supposed to take both of the college kids out for jean shopping this morning before they head back to college.  Other than that it promises to be a quiet day.

I agree with Anna, haha, but the place-mats are great for the rest of the year. I believe there is something wrong with Mister Linky this morning as it refuses to show the participants to the link. Hope it will be an easy fix for you to do. Thanks. ;^)

I love your placemats! Pretty colors and a unique shape, with that cut off corner. Glad you are enjoying having the college kids there this week!

Sorry, Angela! I agree with Anna about the place-mats not fitting the Thanksgiving vibe. However, they will certainly fit the beach vibe EVERY day of the year!! :o))

Sorry, but Anna's incorrect. A turquoise, beachy Thanksgiving is just great! They look awesome, and so does your morning scene. Have a wonderful day!

Thanksgiving is but one day. You have the beach all year, so I think you made the right call on the placements. You can make some autumn themed ones another year.

Am I the only one having problems linking up? Even computer whizz DH couldn't get the photo to appear. I'll try a little later and hopefully the link up will go smoothly.

Glad you got to have the kids home for Thanksgiving. My college girl is on the same page in terms of needing to go jeans shopping, but we'll do that after finals in 2 weeks. Love the place mats. Hope you can work in more nothing but sewing days over your holiday break.
