Counting down the days until school begins for real. I think things might calm down a bit then. I am probably wrong about that though. I have managed over the years of RSC to curate a nice collection of orange. A few are already trimmed into squares and strips for my blocks this month. I will have some time to sew orange today, but I also need to make the flags for our homerooms. I will probably pop into work for a bit and try to get some things ready for the start of school. We will train the teachers on homeroom Tuesday, the day before the kids come back. Then we will meet with homerooms every day for the first week which should give us a chance to start decorating our flags. I had a 4 hour training session on Thursday when I finally got a full picture of how the new job is supposed to work. All summer I kept asking when the training would begin. Somebody dreamed up the job, funded the job at every secondary school and that somebody had have a clear vision of what we are all supposed to be accomplishing. So now my head is full to bursting with new information and things to do.

I hope the beginning of the school year goes smoothly for you! Maybe the transition to a new position will give you more sewing time at home? We'll all have our fingers crossed for you!
Flags for your homerooms? Does not compute. Have fun sewing some ORANGE scraps today, Angela! I'm off to write my post so I can join the Link Party... Art-ing has eaten my computer time (and quilting time, too.)
hope you have a good school year. I continue to not being able to leave a photo of my RSC projects for some reason - I'm sure it is on my end as I have tried for about a month or more now but know that I am keeping up and following along!
Sounds like you are in a hurry so enjoy your time today with the orange scraps and relax.
What an exhilarating time for you! I totally get that feeling of “full to bursting with ideas”. It’s so much fun, whether it’s your job, new projects around the home, or sewing and quilting. Have fun and enjoy that energized feeling of positivity and creativity. You are so good at inspiring others, Angela, and it starts with your infectious enthusiasm. Have a great week!!
I hope the school year starts smoothly and continues. Positive Thinking! Love seeing your orange scraps all ready and waiting. I,too, would love to know more about Homeroom Flags!!
I hope that while you are likely incorrect about the job slowing down after school begins, the work will be less taxing as you transition into what you are really supposed to be doing! I'm loving working with the color orange.
I don't understand the flag thing for homerooms but I'll bet you make some pretty ones! Hoping things slow down, once the routine becomes established, to give you more sewing time!
Glad to hear you finally know what they expect of you in your new position. There's nothing scarier than not knowing... for me anyway. Enjoy orange. ;^)
School doesn't start until September. Hope your new job and the new school year start off well leading to a fun and learning filled year for all.
I think orange is my favourite colour!
