I have a quilt waiting for a back, a basket of yellow random happiness and a quilt on the frame.
At least some of that will happen today.
We had a 2 day week with students, it was nice to settle in slowly. We still can't teach AP Psychology or call students by any name not on their birth certificate. What a strange world. On Monday we are expecting the permission slip so that Thomas can be Tommy again and Cynthia and be Cyndi. I do feel a bit bad for the kid whose parents named him Lester, but everyone is too terrified of being sued under the new law to risk anything that hasn't been officially sanctioned. I keep hoping that once we get past this things will settle back to something more normal again. Until then, fabric hasn't changed much and nobody has declared rainbow quilts to be illegal yet. Let us sew!

Wishing you some quilting therapy this weekend! Thanks for doing what you do, and hosting this rainbow of quilters!
Thankfully quilting is soothing for your soul - enjoy!
OMG!!! If someone outlaws rainbow quilts, I'm going to be in a mess of trouble!!
You are swimming in yummy yellow projects. Love the quilt that needs a backing! We used to live in FL and I have to say that one of things I didn't like was so much warm weather. I think I must have been a polar bear in a previous life! Ha!
Oh man on having to have permission slips signed so that you can call kids by "approved" names. Yes, what a crazy world.
That name thing is just plain stupid! I'm glad I named my kids by the name they go by,but I would have hated to be called Deborah in class! I just hope all these stupid rules and laws don't scare all the great teachers out of this state.
Oh gosh! Don’t even suggest that Rainbow colors, quilts, posters, fabrics might become illegal! Although have the things I thought would never happen, have happened! So I guess it could !😧😩
Let's hear a cheer for Rainbow Quilts!
Hope you got to play with your yellows this weekend. I'd definitely need the stress relief after dealing with all the new rules.
What a fun one on your frame!!!
So.. does it still rain a lot in august - or just hot?
