ScrapHappy Saturday - Rounding out Red
I am starting to sound like a broken record when I say that it was such a busy week and I didn't find any time to sew. It is true yet again and I am looking forward to summer vacation. First though, there are so many end of year activities. We have had award ceremonies, and senior board presentations along with senior breakfast and grad bash. I am off at a field trip this morning with very few students because they are all also quite busy this time of year. There is some screaming football coach from LSU who is the speaker. I felt bad that none of my students were available and said that I would ride on a bus with other people's students. After that I will finish off this week's work for graduate school and then maybe sew some red? There are nice squares sitting by my machine and hope springs eternal. I hope that you are able to finish off some reds though. Next month is green and so it will look like an early Chistmas during the transition.

Thank you! I hope that you will have a nice week, with some time for sewing too! When does school wrap up?
It's that time of year for teachers - I know because I've been there! I hope you get a chance to play in your scraps this weekend, Angela. I'll enjoy digging into green next month!
This time of year for educators, especially HS ones in my opinion, is absolutely crazy with end of year "stuff". Green will be perfect for May as I'm finally beginning to see little bits of green showing up on tree branches around here.
Thanks for thinking of us, even when you're on a field trip! Sorry about the football coach. I like the speakers better when they're funny. Green is a perfect color for spring.
Some weeks are like that. Such a bummer none of your students were able to make the field trip as it is more fun to watch the faces of the students you know well. I'm planning to sew "red" next week. . .better late than never!
End of the school year is always a crush. Hope you get some time to relax and work on your sanity this weekend.
Looking forward to going through the green scraps.
Your entire month of April was so busy. I hope you get a break soon and can enjoy some down time. Green sounds like fun but I'm not done with red just yet. ;^)
Yes! I remember the end of the year was so busy – even in elementary school! I kept the hope that the last day of school would come and all would be finished. I felt so free walking out of the building that last day! Green will be a fun, relaxing color to work with!
