I usually get stuck on the Bs: borders, backing and binding. This time I just took a deep breath and kept going. Totally scrappy borders, totally scrappy backing. I have a drawer of leftover binding that will complete the trifecta of scrapiness.
Kurt took a look at the back and asked if I really thought nobody ever looked at the back. Not so much for unconditional support around here I guess. Honesty is nice too I suppose.

There are some things men don't get, lol. You've really made good use of your weekend and it looks like you've had fun
My last quilt a tumbler quilt had a scrappy back. My husband had the opposite reaction. He told me the back was more like the quilts he grew up with and why didn't I make all my quilts like that. I guess different people have diifernt opinions.
I like scrappy backs and I think yours looks fine. It'll look even better after it's quilted too, then maybe he'll like it better. It's a back so it's not supposed to be as special as the front, but I'll bet that there are plenty of people who'd love a quilt like your back.
That is lovely! I like a pieced backing, it's what the thriftyness of scrappy quilts is all about to me. Kurt is obviously not a quilter or he would have known that peeking at the backs is irresistible LOL
good to use up what you have. as for your hubby, now you have somethig to say to him the next time he walks around looking like an unmade bed, which is how mine looks most of the time!
Glad you are pushing through those nasty B jobs! It looks great!
Looks great, way to go!
Scrappy is your style, and this looks terrific! I like the pieced back a lot, and agree that after it is quilted it will look even better! Congrats on your progress :)
At least Kurt was showing an interest!
The more I see this quilt top, the more I fall in love!
Same way around this house, My Guy expresses an interest, but doesn't always support my "creative" endeavors.
Congrats on getting past the borders. That's the part of finishing a project I hate the most.
