ScrapHappy Saturday - Blue Skies

Welcome to the weekend!   Just three more weekends before AP testing starts, and 8 more before school ends.  The seniors had their "prom" last night.   It was a formal dinner with speeches and videos.  No DJ or dancing allowed.  What a long strange year this has been.
We saw the first sea turtle nest of the season today!   The sea turtle preservation group is out on beach buggies every morning scouting for them, but this is the first marked nest we have seen.

I plan to sort through some more blue scraps this morning.   If I can get some leaders and enders set up, then I can work on those between sewing the rows together for the red lightning quilt.

The garden lattice blocks might be first up.   I didn't make any flower blocks in green, but blue will make a nice addition to the collection.
How are your blocks coming along?    The linky tool is below, so please share your progress and plans.

That would be so interesting to see the sea turtle nests! Have you ever had a chance to see the babies after they've hatched? Enjoy playing with your scraps this weekend!

It has been a strange school year for sure. Our state testing started this week. It will drag on until the first week in May. Our son has been exempt from these test every year. Laws changed and he has to take them. It's not going to change anything I'm going to do differently.

Love your Garden Party blocks. Woohoo for a turtle nest! That's exciting!

I think this finish is from a few years back but hey, it is a top now!

I've never seen a sea turtle nest in real, that would have been interesting. Beautiful garden block. Great block for using up bits and pieces.

That does sound like a weird "prom" with no dancing. Oh well. I love your garden lattice blocks and maybe you'll get some time for some blues.
