Binding Time

I debated the thread color for the t-shirt quilt.  Pulled out several spools.  Unwound them to see the contrast with different shirts.  The cornflower blue was the one that blended best with most of the shirts.  Surprising, right?
It wasn't too dark on the light shirts and blended well enough with the dark shirts.  I used grey in the bobbin, the back is a blue plaid and won't show any stitches at all.  Just two hours on the frame to get this guy quilted.  A simple big meander did the trick.
So here is the finished quilt, all ready for binding.  I have a red picked out for that.  There is plenty of fabric left for a pillowcase for storage as well.  Woohoo!  Finishes are so much fun!

EDIT:  Just finished the pillowcase for the t-shirt quilt.  I used the tutorial here with no raw edges in the seams.  It matches the back and the binding and the sashing.  Tada!

This quilt looks great. T shirt quilts are always such nice memory quilts for teens.
