Officially Done

Cerulean Blue is officially done after having the binding sewn down.  I am officially done after having my husband out of town for three days.  He is back now though, and I have a three day weekend coming up to recover from the busyness.
I spent the afternoon happily turning fabric scraps into Swiss cheese.  There were a bunch of deconstructed shirts lurking in the bin with the usual scraps and several new GO dies still in wrappers. I focused on the blue of course, so you'll see more of these scraps soon enough.
My goal is to have the laundry room cleared out in time for the new dryer to arrive. I am HOPING that we have a new dryer by time the weekend ends.  Otherwise I'll start going door to door to borrow dryers.  I've got two friends lined up who will be happy to lend me some dryer space in case we run out of underwear before the new appliances arrive.

Very lovely. Amazing, isn't it that a pile of seemingly unrelated scraps can become something so pretty.

Very pretty and extremly fast...I wish I could machine quilt...I hand quilt all of mine and it always takes forever ´cause I´m such a slow poke

Great finish, I'm still working on my blue quilt, hoping for plenty of time over the weekend to work on it

This is lovely, so fresh looking. I've been without a dryer since the summer. It was okay in the summer because everything dried outside, but during the winter I've had everything drying on a clothes horse in front of the kitchen fire. It's okay, but takes two days to get each load dry. Trouble is, we have a combination washer/dryer and the washer is still fine, so we don't feel like splashing out on a new one just yet.

It's beautiful. I can't believe how quickly you were able to make this start to finish. My Rainbow challenge is only a small piece and I'm making such slow progress.

Hi Angela,
your quilt is so beautiful. My Rainbow challenge is only a blog with 49 blue scaps. If it's possible today I'll take a photo an put it on my blog.
Have a nice weekend

I have pulled a pile of scraps to start my challenge for the month, but I am not finding a lot of blues....but I'll keep looking. Love your quilt.

Scraps are amazing, so humble but when sewn into a quilt so beautiful.
And in this case, so quick.

Is that the small tumbler die? I think I need that one and the small Drunkard's Path die. That should hold me for a while now. :)
