ScrapHappy Saturday -- Going Green

I sat watching TV last Sunday evening cutting up little bits of green fabric and putting them together into block kits.  What fun!  I was sure I would be able to find a few minutes in the evenings to sew a few together.  While that didn't really happen, I am now ready to make good use of a three day weekend.  It feels strange to have a holiday with only three days of school left, but that is the way the schedule worked out this year as we keep pushing the start date back one week at a time to accommodate end of the year testing.  Next year there will be two weeks still to go after Memorial Day.  After that?  No way to know.
So what is a girl to do when faced with a extra day in the weekend?  Well a sewing marathon sounds like a good plan to me.  What are your plans?  There is still one more green Saturday after today, so feel free to stretch things out.  Use misterlinky below to share your green.

I'm happy to hear the school year is almost over. Time for a break.
I'll think of a scrappy green project to make this week :D

Lucky you with just three days left of school term. I'm hoping to get some extra sewing time this week too, as we have Thursday and Friday free.
Enjoy the long weekend.

I still need to make a green Picadilly circle block. Hopefully I'll have time this week to make two. We'll see. We have four more days of school next week. I'm glad. The kids at school (especially my son) are getting really restless.

I'm planning a solo sewing retreat on Monday myself.

The last day of school here was yesterday. They ran finals right up to the last day of class. DT is glad to be out.

Good Morning, Angela. Would you delete my #8 entry please. I used the wrong link. I did the correct link with #9. Thanks.

Wish I could look forward to a good long vacation - still 10-12 hr days in the week for me probably all summer.

This long weekend I'm going to try to catch up on gardening. Weather looks to be beautiful.

I love all your sampler blocks you are posting. Thanks so much! I don't think I'll get much sewing done this weekend, but I did run to a quilt show this morning and had a nice time! Have fun sewing!

I'm all confused this month - I was sure that today was the last Saturday of the month! I've posted my Kickin' Stash blocks - I made 2 more! You'll have to check my blog to see why!

It's been good to sit and catch up with you this morning! Blog land has gone silent in my world for the past few weeks!
Green, huh? LOL. I still have April's purple to do, but soon! soon!
Hats off to you for posting block after block after block of some adorable goodies.
We WOULD have had 8 days left, but the snow days forced a few more to the schedule. Monday, June 9 is now our last -- nothing like heading back to school for one final Monday, right? ;)
Wishing you the best to the end...

You saw my list of to do's...and I'm one who is taking advantage of that extra Saturday this month!!! Our school calendar is already adjusted and we get out June4th/ Teacher Work day June 5th. It's fine. We get some fun field trips in and this weekend is rejuvenating...plus we don't go back until third week in August. See ya with my green girls and house next Saturday. :)V

I'm using the extra Saturday, too. It's been way too nice to be indoors. Maybe I'll have to set my sewing machine up outside.
