Mini Monday - Weathervane

This simple little paper pieced block should not have taken any time at all to put together.  For some reason I was convinced that the little light colored squares were supposed to be background color instead and had to sew each one twice.  Reverse sewing on a paper pieced block is absolutely no fun at all.

It is done now though, with the correct colors in all the right spots.  Getting this quilt done is starting to feel like a real possibility.

I agree about paper piecing. It really ends up frustrating me! Your little block turned out great.

Lovely (as usual)!

Your block is perfect! I love paper piecing except when I have to rip something out then I usually just start over. Don't give up on it because it does give you perfect corners on the hard stuff.

Paper piecing isn't my favourite technique. I too had a little reverse stitching to do on my Dear Jane which was paper pieced on certain parts. The pattern started to fall a part and I had to tape it. I much prefer to use the freezer paper Ppiecing method now as it's far more flexible. But I already had this pattern printed onto foundation paper so thought I'd use it.
Your little block turned out wonderful in the end.

Very pretty. I've never paper pieced but would expect unsewing is a bit of a nightmare.
