ScrapHappy Saturday - Last Pink Weekend

I hope that all of your pink plans are wrapping up.   I feel very done with the rosy shades and ready to move on to bright and shiny yellow for February.

Dear Jane has 3 out of four borders sewn on and just three more blocks to finish for the fourth.  There is an end in sight!  I made this green block on Wednesday and it took SO long!  HST blocks for the center pinwheel, the orange peels appliqués on top followed by reverse applique of the circle over that.  I changed up the diamonds on top to use a failed attempt at pinwheels.   The entire top should be complete before the day is done.

Pink was a good month for me this year.  I think I've added a few more crumb blocks to the mix since this photo was taken, but I definitely used LOTS of bits from the pink bins.  I don't have quite so much yellow fabric to work with, but it will be fun to dig in and see what  I can find.

I enjoyed seeing your Dear Jane blocks. I've followed several Dear Jane journeys before. Meanwhile, if you know of an online source for freezer paper, would you mind letting me know. I've searched and can't find any. Take care now.

Pink is not my color, so I'm glad mine are done. Your blocks look great. I like yellow, but I use the same fabrics over and over, so I don't have much variety.

Maybe I can jump in for some yellow blocks next month. Pink wasn't my colour.

Lots of pink happened here even if it wasn't "technically" RSC-oriented. I quilted and finished three predominantly pink quilts this month. I also made my pink blocks for Hoppipolla (a long term tiny rail fence-ish project and committed to another long term scrappy RSC project - I'll link both of them during February. Here's to playing with YELLOW scraps!

Amazing pinks but I too am ready to move on to yellow (in spite of the fact that I didn't make all the blocks I wanted). Your Dear Jane is going to look amazing and I for one am looking forward to seeing the finished top.

It must be truly atisfying to be right on the cusp of completing a Dear Jane! I'm blown away by all your January pinky production. My MIL and I were supposed to play along but didn't get to it.
Both of us are finishing up a quilt right now and look forward to playing catch up tomorrow as well as getting an early start on the February color.
