February Color Annoucement

The new color for February will be pink.  Technically this Saturday is still part of January, but I'm posting now for those of you who would like to get started on a new color.  Along with a new color comes a brand new fabric giveaway!  This is the pink pack of hand dyed fabric  from the Rainbow Scrap Challenge Snack Pack.  Vicki Welsh dyed it for our challenge, and I will be using mine for the sampler blocks this month.  If you would like to be entered to win, just leave a comment on on this post with your favorite shade of pink.  I've always liked ashes-of-roses since I read The Thorn Birds in junior high.

I like a medium pink. every time I wear pink (or red) I always think of my grandmother- she told me that was my color. thanks for the early announcement- although I'm still slogging through blue! (almost done!)

Hmm... My daughter loves bright (electric? Neon?) pink. I'm more of a deep pink or pale pink kinda girl.

One of my favorites! (And the photo looks salmon-y on my screen, too)

I'm not much of a "pink person" however, my favorite shade is Hot Pink. I am SO happy that we have a NEW Color of the Month... even though it's not technically the end of January yet. Thanks, Angela!

Oh, I am not a fan of real pink but I love rose pink or hot hot pink. My LQS even gives me a discount when I buy pink yardage. LOL

I like all shades of pink. I had a dusty pink summer suit that I loved, and always received compliments when I wore it, but since I've lost a lot of weight due to dietary challenges, it no longer fits.

Pink is a nice color. I want a Neon Pink! I'm making a baby quilt and have a baby pink, everything is low volume, it's so hard for me to work on. But I will persevere, it will be awesome.

Jennie in GA said...

Pink is my second favorite color, though strangely, I don't use it a lot. I love dusty pinks best.

Yay for pink! (and I thought for sure you would announce red, hehehe). My favorite shade of pink is probably a peachy-pink, although I have hardly ever met a pink I didn’t like! :-) Can`t wait to finish up the blue on my work table so I can start on pink!

My favorite pink is an intense fuchsia. And I LOVE pink with orange, which was considered a huge no-no when I was growing up!

I figured the color would be pink or red for Valentine's Day. I'm so glad to be sewing another color. My fav would be the sweet baby girl pink, although hot pink is good, too.

I used to hate pink but I've put it into several quilts and now I love it. I like a medium shade lighter than bubblegum. I'm hoping to join up with the scrappy Saturdays forgot about it until last week. So I guess I'll start with pink although blue is my favourite colour and I probably have more blue scraps than anything else.

Oh gosh, I don't know the names of all the pink shades, haha, but I did read the Thorn Birds just a few years ago - I saw it at Costco and decided to read it, and then realized it was set in Australia which is where I was born! I guess "coral" is a pink right? I keep leaning to that lately :)
