I finished the yellow block of Leap Year last night while we were finishing off watching Shitt's Creek as a family.
This was the very last Dear Jane block, left side number 6 which is also known as tumbling blocks. It was English paper pieced. Though I haven't done much of it, the inset seams worked well that way.
This is the final border, the right side, ready to be sewn on. Hard to believe that all these years later I will finally have a finished quilt top. I started this quilt in 2013 right after finishing my Tiny Tuesday Midget quilt from Sentimental stitches. A lot happened at first, most of the top was finished before the end of that year. Then it got set aside, and the longer a quilt is in hibernation, the harder it is to wake it up again. It will be done today though, at least the top part. The quilting is another story. I'm linking up with Slow Stitching Sunday and Oh Scrap! today.

How exciting to have the last DJ block completed! Such a fun and colorful version you created of it. The quilting on the circles is looking great. Enjoy your Sunday.
it is an exciting feeling getting this top - I remember I felt the same way!
Yahoo a finished top...your stitching and piecing is great...looks wonderful! Wait for it...hope you have another project ready to go and you don't get the "I'm finished what do I do next" blues!!
Way to go! This finish will be extra sweet.
Love your leap year quilt. I also enjoyed Schitt's creek. Very good job!
It looks like you use the same kind of hand quilting hoop as I do! Lovely to see 2 of your long term projects today! Enjoy!
Yea! That's work on 2 UFO's. Looking forward to seeing that Dear Jane top finished.
Congratulations o finishing the Dear jane top!!! Looking at your triangles almost makes me want to revisit making the triangle border for my Bright version.
I think you hit it on the head - the longer a quilt is in hibernation, the harder it is to wake it up. Luckily, I have quite few projects where I just need to sew the blocks together.
I especially like your circles.
Way to go on finishing your last Dear Jane border! It's going to be fun to see the whole quilt top all put together. Have a wonderful Sunday!
WOW last Dear Jane block!
Looking forward to seeing youe rainbow Dear Jane.
At last, Angela. Congratulations!!!
Congratulations! I'm not sure I did that one - it looks hard! I may have substituted one from Papadakis' "Dear Hannah"
Anyway, now to think about the quilting!
I love your circles and am in total awe over your completion of the DJ quilt. I could never make that quilt. Too intricate for me, but a completely lovely quilt! I agree that it’s particularly wonderful in your bright colors!
I admire your perseverance in finally completing the Dear Jane blocks. That's one of the quilts I would never start because I know it would never get finished. Can't wait to see it all together.

Such a wonderful feeling to have completed your very last Dear Jane block! I imagine that after all this hand stitching, your quilt will be hand quilted too? That will keep you busy.
