Smith Mountain Majesty is overfilling my design wall today. There are still a few more blocks to put together, but I can definitely see how it is coming together. This one is another pattern from Bonnie Hunter's Scraps and Shirtails II
book. I love the way the alternate blocks surround the stars. To see what other people have up on their design walls, head over to Judy's blog
. Such a fun way to start out the week.
Sydney wanted to snuggle on the couch last night, I wonder when they get too big to pass out cold on somebody? Not too soon I hope.
I love the way the blocks form medallions around the stars.
LOVE both pictures!!!! Cuddling still exists here too; sadly Cassie is bigger than I am now, so Mom-lap-time has long been gone with her.
So....I predict that SMM will reach a sewn quilt center today? :D
Oh that is one of my favorite Bonnie quilts!! I made one for my niece in the army out of two different camo fabrics. Yours look fabulous!!
That is my new favorite Bonnie Hunter design. Great quilt - love the pictures.
Your quilt is turning out to be beautiful. I love the colors you chose, so peaceful.
Lots of movement in this quilt----and lots of sewing. Very striking.
This is going to be one beautiful quilt!!
I love love what is on your design wall!!
Wow. Beautiful design wall!
Love the picture of the sweet little princess asleep :D
This is such an amazing quilt...love how the colour placement moves your eyes around the quilt.
What an adorable picture of Miss Sydney!
Your quilt is wonderful, I agree the alternate block really gives this setting a great sparkle. Awww, savor the moments :)
Ooh, I love this quilt and the colors you chose. This will be a stunning quilt.
The cuddle picture is so cute too. Kids grow up too soon. My boys used to cuddle too and now I have the grandkids to cuddle...It's so sweet to see this.
Bonnie is the best scrap quilter pattern maker -- yours is great. Love your colors. Your princess is so sweet cuddle up with daddy. Such a good shot for a future memory quilt for her when she's in college!
Great looking quilt. The two blocks go so well together. I love all her patterns.
Have I mentioned I am jealous? LOL. If I can figure out what to do with this month's UFO I might get to working on SMM because its number will come up soon!
Love your blues and browns together! Great quilt, and I too love Bonnie's designs.
Beautiful color combo, the quilt is is going to be gorgeous.
The 13 year old still trys to snuggle sometimes, but as she's now 5'4" and all muscle, she gets really heavy pretty quickly.
Your quilt is going to be gorgeous. Love the family picture - those moments can be so fleeting!
